About me
Tibetan Shiné meditation practice offers a simple yet profound path for healthy self-regulation and spiritual realization. This particular meditation practice guides with descriptive language and visual cues that help novice or younger students utilize awareness that is focused on breath as well as external and internal cues at each stage.
I have personal experience with various forms of meditation or yoga and earned certification as a Shiné Meditation Teacher in Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche’ ’s linearge in September 2022. My teaching experiences range from small groups of individuals to health programs for recovery and
rehabilitation. Recently I introduced Shiné practice to youth living in a group home setting, to complement a mental health treatment program. One young person was so happy to share that she stopped taking melatonin --instead she practiced Shine’ and had no problems with her sleep.
PS - Recently I began to memorize poetry - after years of formal education with a need for critical thinking, I now sense a new kind of
emotional -- mental calmness and acuity - with 1 year of Shine meditation. I memorize poetry with ease and have become a better listener.
The gift of regular meditation practice continues to surprise and enrich each day. - jb
