About me
Lu Jong: Tibetan Healing Yoga for Modern Life

Gentle Movement. Deep Presence. Inner Balance.

Well over two decades ago, I turned to yoga feeling exhausted, anxious, and emotionally drained. What began as a search for comfort became a profound journey home—to myself. I learned that true peace doesn’t require struggle, and it’s not loud—it arises naturally through breath, movement, and presence. Today, it’s a sacred path I’m honored to walk alongside you.

Lu Jong, the ancient Tibetan healing yoga practice, is at the heart of my daily life. Through gentle, breath-led movements, Lu Jong awakens the body’s innate healing power by opening the 72,000 subtle energy channels known as tsa. These channels often hold tension and imbalance. By gently releasing stagnation, clarity returns, vitality awakens, and calm naturally emerges.

This practice isn’t about performance—it’s about presence. It’s about steadily reconnecting to your body, breath, and the truth within each moment.

I offer all classes free of charge and without donations, removing barriers so that everyone can access these teachings regardless of background, income, or circumstance.

You’re invited to join gentle introductory sessions or regular weekly group classes, offered online and in person and open to all ages, bodies, and experience levels.

Each class offers quiet nourishment. Breath deepens, the spine softens, and the nervous system settles. Movement guides you home, tension releases, and awareness deepens naturally.

My journey began with the structure and strength of Ashtanga and Bikram yoga. It deepened through Kundalini Yoga under the guidance of Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, where I became certified as an instructor and later expanded through my training as a Reiki Master with the International Reiki Institute.

Buddhism has guided my spiritual path since 2005. In 2019, I became a student of His Eminence Khangser Rinpoche and now facilitate Lamrim and Vajrayana teachings through Dipkar Vajrayana Institute, helping others integrate Tibetan wisdom with gentleness and depth.

With deep gratitude, I honor Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche for bringing Lu Jong to the West and offer appreciation to the dedicated team at Nangten Menlang International in Austria and their instructors for preserving and sharing this sacred lineage.

In my personal life, I’m deeply grateful for the warmth and joy of my beautifully blended family of seven. I’m lucky to be the mom of two exceptional children—a daughter and a son—and blessed with three wonderful bonus daughters who’ve enriched my life in countless ways. Alongside my husband and our beloved fur babies, Dave and Josh, my days are filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for every moment. I divide my time between the serene beauty of San Miguel de Allende, the vibrant culture of Mexico City, and the rich history of San Antonio, Texas.

Throughout my 25-year career as a public administrator, counselor, and educator, I also contributed to producing documentaries that spotlighted philanthropic initiatives across Canada, Mexico, and South America. After retiring at 48 to fully dedicate myself to my spiritual journey, I continued to draw from my academic background: a graduate degree in Public Administration with a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership & Management and a BA in Sociology and Spanish Literature from Texas A&M International. Throughout my career, I served on multiple boards dedicated to classical music, arts advocacy, homelessness initiatives via FEMA surplus agencies, violence recovery through RAINN, facilitating community micro-grants, and addressing infant mortality and maternal health along the U.S.-Mexico border through Healthy Texas Babies, Nurse-Family Partnership, Any Baby Can, and the March of Dimes.

Today, I offer Lu Jong to those moving through stress, burnout, life transitions, or the quiet ache of spiritual exhaustion.

This isn’t just movement—it’s healing. It’s alignment. It’s coming home to the part of yourself that never left.

If this resonates, I invite you to begin with a gentle session and return to yourself, one mindful breath at a time.

Note: These offerings support overall wellness but do not substitute professional medical care.
