Our past shapes what we learn and remember, forming our knowledge. Our future is built on what we think and plan, also influenced by knowledge. As humans, we are deeply shaped by both—what we have experienced in the past and what we anticipate for the future. However, this constant influence can become an obstacle, preventing us from fully experiencing the present moment and awakening to our natural awareness—the awakened mind.
True awareness exists only in the present moment. It is our natural state of mind, free from the limitations of past knowledge and future expectations. Natural awareness brings natural intelligence and skills, which are more essential to our lives than accumulated knowledge or artificial intelligence.
In this lecture, Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche will explore how being fully present allows us to access natural awareness. Through this awareness, we do not just develop natural intelligence and skills, but ultimately also true happiness—one that is not dependent on external conditions.
