Lu Jong – Tibetan Healing Yoga originates directly in the lineage of Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche. As the recognized reincarnation of the Nyentse Lama, Rinpoche learned Lu Jong from various masters of different traditions from an early age. In the West, Tulku Lobsang met many people who were physically and mentally unbalanced. To positively influence their health and happiness, Tulku-la collected and modified the ancient Lu Jong movements, which have been used for millennia to maintain the health of yogis and monks. Today, Lu Jong – Tibetan Healing Yoga is a complete program of body exercises adapted to Western needs, allowing everyone to balance body and mind.
Rooted in the wisdom of Traditional Tibetan Medicine, Lu Jong understands the deep unity of body and mind. When our natural balance is disturbed, physical problems, emotional turbulence, and energetic blockages can arise. By combining position, movement, and breath, Lu Jong gently opens the body’s channels and redirects stagnant energy. Physically, this activates the body’s self-healing powers. Mentally, this helps reduce negative emotions and cultivate inner balance. Energetically, this clears blockages in the subtle body channels and restores an unobstructed flow of energy.
This retreat is a special opportunity to learn the complete set of the 23 Lu Jong movements from Tulku Lobsang himself. Through guided practice, you can directly experience the transformative effect of this precious healing yoga. Whether you are completely new to Lu Jong or already familiar with the practice, this retreat offers a rare and wonderful opportunity to learn – or refine – the full set of movements under Rinpoche’s personal guidance.
Rinpoche will also focus on the wonderful synergy of Lu Jong and meditation. After practicing Lu Jong, the mind naturally becomes clearer and calmer, making meditation much more accessible. This supports us in cultivating awareness, clarity, stability and joy.
Join us for this inspiring weekend to reconnect with your body, deepen your practice, and experience the healing wisdom of Lu Jong and meditation.
