Sobre mí
Lu Jong flows without force, adjusts without strain, and yields while preserving strength.
Also known as Tibetan yoga, this practice restores the spine, nurtures the organs, balances the inner elements, and clears stagnant energy.
Rooted in Tibetan medicine and Buddhist wisdom, Lu Jong is not about performance but about presence. It is a soft, sacred discipline—a pathway to return to yourself with both tenderness and resilience where all bodies, all stories, all seasons of life are welcome.
I was trained and certified directly by Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche as a 5 Elements & Lu Jong Teacher, and I continue to share these practices in gratitude to the lineage he so generously entrusts to his students.
Yoga was the doorway, but since 2007 it has been Buddhist teachings that truly opened my path. Under the guidance of H.E. Khangser Rinpoche, my devotion has deepened, and I now help facilitate Lamrim and Vajrayana teachings through the Dipkar Vajrayana Institute. These teachings have become the spine of my life, anchoring me in study, service, and surrender.
Prior to retiring in 2023, I spent many years in public service and advocacy, working across housing justice, statewide initiatives like Healthy Texas Mothers and Babies and Healthy Texas Women, education, equity, and trauma recovery—always carrying the same question close: how do we serve with both integrity and love? When I retired at 47, turning to teach Lu Jong became a clear and natural next step. At this age, with both experience and perspective, the practice felt less like a career move and more like a calling—an answer that aligned body, mind, and spirit.
My academic path includes a Master’s in Public Administration and Counseling Psychology, and a Bachelor’s in Sociology and Spanish Literature. Along the way, I became a Reiki Master in 2013 and, more recently, a certified Kabbalah Analyst in 2024. These studies formed my mind, but it is the call to service that continues to form my spirit.
In 2023, my husband and I rooted our lives in Mexico City. I’m a mother of two, a bonus mom to three, and now a grandmother to one luminous little soul. Our pups, Harper, Dave, and Josh, keep daily life threaded with play and joy.
Come when you’re ready. Move softly. This practice is a return.
