Although we all contain the Buddha-nature in ourselves, we are not capable to recognize it. Therefore the practice of Guru Yoga is a effective method to reveal our Buddha-nature. The teaching of Guru Yoga deals with our, the student's attitude towards our spiritual teacher and the spiritual teaching. To be able to receive a teaching, it is important to reduce our ego and to practice devotion. Therefore we address our prayers with trust and devotion to our lama, to receive his blessing. This practice enables the wisdom and realization of the Lama to melt with our mind. It is not sufficient to carry the seed of Buddha-nature in us. We need faith and devotion, so that our Lama can transfer his blessing on us.
