Experience the profound depths of Dzogchen through this retreat of inner exploration and discovery.
Dzogchen is the true nature of our mind. It means “Great Perfection” and is the state of pure awareness. It is the wisdom that exists beyond all limitations and through which we can come to know everything.
Our current state of mind is conditioned and bound by limitations. What we see now is the reflection of our ignorance. We always miss something, and so we always have a wrong view. We are looking through the lens of the conceptual mind, which always comes with a shadow and limitations. We never see things as they truly are and this causes us great suffering.
Dzogchen implies direct perception and is free of all thoughts and concepts. The goal of Dzogchen is therefore to discover our ultimate ground of existence that has the qualities of purity, luminous clarity and compassion. This is called Rigpa. It is the opposite of ignorance.
When we practice Dzogchen, we simply leave everything and look. When we leave everything alone – without judgment or reaction – and simply perceive what is there, we begin to recognize the true nature of our mind. In this way, we use our mind to observe our mind. The mind is like water. When it is still, it naturally becomes clear. This is how we come to deeply know ourselves. It is an encounter with pure luminosity and compassion.
Join this retreat with Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche for a sacred journey inward to get a glimpse into the truly transformative aspects of Dzogchen.
