EVENT DETAILS:
- The Retreat will be held through "Zoom". In order to access the live sessions you need to download the Zoom App onto the device through which you want to join. Here is the link for downloading Zoom: https://zoom.us/download. In case you already have the Zoom App, please make sure that you update it to its latest version before the event. (You do not need a zoom account.)
- The video recordings of all Retreat sessions will be made available through your user account on our website.
- In order to access any course-related material or information, you need to log into your user account. In the section “Online” and the sub-section "Your Online Teachings" you will find the zoom access information, the course material as well as the video recordings.
- Rinpoche teaches in English. German, Spanish, Portuguese and French simultaneous translation available.

Every night we need to sleep, so every night is a chance to practice. The moment we go to sleep, our conceptual thoughts dissolve and we naturally enter the clear light state of mind. This is a powerful moment. Clear light is the true nature of our mind. It is the state of pure awareness, the wisdom that exists beyond all limitations.
Usually, it is through mediation that we reach the clear light state of mind, but during our sleep, we reach this state naturally. However, normally, when we fall asleep, we aren’t conscious of the phases that our mind goes through or the experiences of these states.
This is really a lost opportunity because the way we fall asleep is exactly like the way we will die. If we learn to catch and recognize this moment of clear light during sleep, then we will be able to navigate the experience of our death.
Sleep Yoga of Clear Light (in Tibetan: Ösel) is a very powerful practice through which we can learn to remain lucid during deep sleep and therefore to become familiar with the clear light state of mind. This practice is one of the Six Yogas of Naropa, a comprehensive collection of advanced practices of Tibetan Tantrayana Buddhism intended to lead to Buddhahood in an accelerated manner.
During this Online Live Retreat, Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche will introduce us to this precious and powerful practice.
