Tog Chöd, the wisdom sword, is based on a famous Tibetan meditation technique and is very much connected with Yamantaka. This practice is a combination of powerful physical exercises, which are practiced with a wooden sword. The goal of the exercises is to reduce fear and expectation, to dissolve mental imprints and overcome negative emotions.
Tog Chöd is a powerful technique for overcoming the state of thinking und for remaining in a quiet state of mind. Based on the Yaman dance, the famous Tibetan meditation technique, Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche developed this powerful technique of Tog Chöd.
Tog Chöd, the wisdom sword, is a combination of body postures, movements and visualizations. This meditation practice can help us reduce fear and expectation, dissolve mental imprints and overcome negative emotions. By practicing Tog Chöd we learn to cut our thoughts. Thanks to this we can cut expectations as well as concepts of truth and fear. This is important for being able to live in the present moment – in the here and now – instead of wandering with our thoughts into the past or the future.
