Girona airport is at a distance of 57 km from the Retreat Hotel. There is free parking at the hotel. Kata Offering Ceremony: During this Retreat, Rinpoche will offer a short blessing ceremony. Traditionally, you can make a kata (blessing scarf) offering where you approach Rinpoche with a kata folded in half and held in your prayer mudra. Rinpoche will then put the kata over your head as a blessing. If you wish to participate in this ceremony, please bring your own kata. There will also be katas available on location.

Lu Jong and Shiné are both ancient Tibetan practices. Lu Jong works with the body, Shiné, the Traditional Tibetan Shamatha Meditation, with the mind. Practicing Lu Jong and Shiné together has a profound effect on our body and mind and is an incredibly powerful way to really change ourselves.

Through the combination of position, movement and breath Lu Jong opens the channels in the body, releases blockages and mobilizes misdirected energy. Our mind becomes clear and calm. That’s the reason why meditating is much easier for us after having practiced Lu Jong.

Lu Jong consists of physical exercises, developed to activate the body’s own self-healing powers on a physical level. On the mental level, the exercises aid to overcome our negative emotions, such as anger and jealousy, to achieve emotional balance and increase our energy. On the energetic, level Lu Jong can release blockages of the subtle body channels, thereby restoring and mobilizing a more natural flow of energies.

Shiné is a practice which is peaceful and powerful at the same time. It aims to calm our mind and train it in a way so that it transforms from its usual active and agitated state into a calm and clear one that gradually allows for awareness to arise. As a result, our mind becomes more peaceful and less disturbed by both internal factors like thoughts and emotions, and external factors, like a stressful environment.

This Retreat offers the special opportunity to study and practice Lu Jong and Shiné with Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche who will focus on the wonderful symbiosis of these powerful Tibetan techniques. Through intensive joint practice we can experience ourselves first-handedly the profound effect of Lu Jong and Shiné on our body and mind.
