The Retreat starts on Monday, 27 July 2020 at 19:30h with dinner (Check-in with Nangten Menlang from 18:00h to 19:00h) and ends on Friday, 7 August 2020 at 13:30h after lunch.
Please bring:
- Comfortable clothing in which you can move easily
- Yoga mat
- Meditation cushion or other item to sit on during the teachings and for meditation (and maybe a blanket)
- Walking shoes in case we go for a walk together
- Pen and paper for notes
- Swimwear and slippers

- Tulku Lobsang teaches in English. No translation will be provided.
- In case you have any medical condition, please get your physician’s approval to fast throughout 10 consecutive days.
- We recommend that you arrange a personal cancellation insurance to cover any occurring cancellation costs.
Information about the Retreat fasting plan:
- You will be served a balanced, light vegetarian diet at the beginning as well as again at the end of the Retreat. (There will be in total 3 times breakfast, 2 times lunch and 2 times dinner.)
- For the remainder of the Retreat the diet will be restricted to tea and a "soup-like" dish prepared with tsampa (ground roasted barley) and special flower petals.
- For gluten-intolerant participants it is possible to prepare the “soup" with special flower pedals and rice flour (instead of roasted barley flour).
- In order to benefit the most from the practice and the Retreat in its entirety, Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche advises the participants to follow a 21-day-fasting schedule, meaning that: 7 days prior to as well as 3 days after the Retreat it is recommended to reduce the amount of food consumed, limit your diet to light fare only and if possible, completely exclude meat, fish and alcohol from your intake. In combination with the days spent at the Retreat this would mean fasting for 21 consecutive days.

By car:
Highway A13 to Bologna, exit “Terme Euganee”, to the left, after 1 km at the crossing to the right, after 3 km at the traffic lights to the left to Abano-Montegrotto, across the city-centre of Montegrotto for 3 km, after the church and townhall across two traffic islands, after them 100 m on the left: arrival at Hotel Garden.
Highway A4 to Venice, exit: “Padova Ovest”, on the dual carriageway continue for 5 km direction Terme Euganee, at the 4th exit turn to the right direction Terme Euganee, continue straight away for 5 km, at the end of this street, turn to the right, after 100 m on the left side: arrival at Hotel Garden.
By train:
From Padova Central station, take the bus line “M” Linea Colli to Montegrotto Terme. Leave the bus at the busstop marketplace from Montegrotto Terme. The Hotel Garden ist directly near the bus stop.
