Rigpa is clear light, the true nature of our mind. It is the state of pure awareness. It is the wisdom that exists beyond all limitations and through which we can come to know everything.

What we see now is the reflection of our ignorance. We always miss something, and so we always have a wrong view. This causes us great suffering. We are looking through the lens of the conceptual mind, which always has a shadow and limitation. We can’t see through it, so we can’t see the true nature of ourselves. We need to go deeper, to the deep part of the ocean. When we reach there we can know everything and see everything without thinking. This is direct perception, just like with the eyes. The eyes never think. They see all things at the same time.

At the time of sleep and the time of death, we naturally reach this. Normally, we don’t realize it, but through practice and training it is possible to reach this state consciously. It is so powerful! When you reach there, you are free of the wrong view and have no suffering.

This practice is without techniques, without concepts and without meditation. When we practice Rigpa, we simply leave everything and look. The mind is like water. When it is still, it naturally becomes clear. When we leave everything alone, without judgment or reaction, and simply perceive what is there, we begin to recognize the nature of mind. To do nothing and to leave everything how it is, is the most difficult thing! In this way, we use our mind to observe our mind. This is how we come to deeply know ourselves. When we know the mind, we know all.

Mindfulness is of fundamental importance. It has a positive effect on all aspects of our life. Mindfulness helps us to not constantly dwell on our thoughts about the past but to return to the present moment and thereby find deep happiness in the here and now. When we are more mindful, all aspects of our life improve automatically.

Whether we experience a lack of joy in our life or have difficulties in our relationships, with our health or at work - mindfulness is the key to a deep change in our life.
In the west, we are often not aware of the necessity and the benefits of mindfulness. The same way as our body gets stronger, more flexible and fitter when we train it in a certain way, we can also train our mind.

In this workshop, Tulku Lobsang teaches us methods for daily use that help us to train our mind in order to develop more and more mindfulness. With this skill we can increasingly unfold our potential and have more loving relationships.

Often our lifes seem complicated. This happens because we feel stressed in our daily life. During work as during our spare time - we are always stressed because we have to handle so many things; or because we think we have to handle so much. Because of this stress we feel not well, have little energy, suffer from sleep disorders and some even from burnout syndrome or depression.

Often we cannot cope with the situations and are over-challenged. One possible explanation is that it is ourselves who create the problems and waste our time with unimportant things. For example we try to change others. But how can we change our friends, family and fellow beings? It is far easier if we change ourselves. We have to learn to take decisions and to differentiate between unimportant and important things. Only this can help us to gain time, despite the supposed lack of time.

Our live is full of beautiful things, occurrences and encounters. Too often, however, we only see the negative aspects - what doesn't work, what we don't achieve - instead of being happy and grateful for everything beautiful in our daily live. Also and especially for the little things.

Thankfulness is an incredibly powerful force. When we are consciously thankful, our life becomes easier, more relaxed and happier. If we complain about everything that happens to us, we become negative-thinking, frustrated and embittered people.

In this workshop we will learn from Tulku Lobsang about the deep impact thankfulness has on our live and how we can practice thankfulness in a simple way. To make our live easier - and make us more contented.

Life is full of problems—as long as we are alive, there will be problems! Pushing them away only increases our suffering and creates more problems. This is because rejecting them is also a denial of our nature.

Tulku Lobsang offers us another method. In the Tantrayana Buddhist tradition, we learn to use our problem to come out of the problem. The problem itself can be the solution to the problem. A simple example is rather than just renouncing a negative emotion such as anger, to take that anger and redirect it at the anger itself. In this way, the anger can become a major motivation to purify one’s mind and develop spiritually. We will decrease our suffering and increase our wisdom when we shift our perception of problems. We should embrace our problems and give thanks for them! Problems teach us great lessons. They are our best teachers. They are opportunities for developing ourselves. Therefore, we must have respect for those that create problems for us, because this helps us to better know ourselves. In fact, this method is fastest way to reach enlightenment. By transforming our problems, we also transform ourselves. By transforming our perception, we expand our desire for all things. Rather than wanting some things and rejecting other things, we accept all things as beneficial. When we view our problems as medicine, we have the opportunity to develop great joy and wisdom.

Tulku Lobsang is a high master in the Tibetan Buddhism who has intensely studied the Buddhist methods, including astrology, philosophy and Tibetan medicine – in Tibet as well as in Indian exile. Tibetan medicine is an ancient healing knowledge based on the understanding of the interdependence of body and mind.

During consultations, Tulku Lobsang gives advice on how to compensate a possible imbalance through a change in diet, by movement as well as breath or meditation techniques. He also answers questions about the own personal spiritual practice.

Lu Jong is an old Tibetan practice of the tradition of  Tantrayana and Bön. The body exercises have been developed in order to activate our self-healing-energies. With the help of the exercises we can support healing processes positively, overcome negative emotions and increase our energy. Lu Jong is based on Tibetan medicine, which assumes that diseases are the consequence of an imbalance of the elements or humours. Through the combination of position, movement and breath Lu Jong can open physical channels and blocks in a soft way and mobilize misdirected energy. In this way our physical health, mental clarity and vitality are improved. These characteristics are the base for spiritual practice.

Feeling compassion for one oneself and for others in times of deep personal grief and pain will transform your life. We all need love and the moment we start to understand love in all its dimensions, we begin to cultivate it from within ourselves.
Self-care and self-compassion are the first steps to gradually become more compassionate and self-confident.  In contrast perhaps to our belief that self-care and compassion can make us weak and vulnerable, they generate a very firm and stable inner base. Compassion is by nature gentle and peaceful but at the same time also very powerful. It helps to remove all fears and insecurities.  It gives us the courage to cope with any kind of obstacle we encounter.
In this workshop you will receive a series of guided meditation for the cultivation of the “Four Immeasurables”: loving-kindness, compassion,  joy, and equanimity.  The practice of the Four Immeasurables opens your heart step by step and cultivates a deep warmhearted feeling. You will also learn how to bring this experience into your daily life through the practice of Tibetan Mind training. If you develop a sincere and open heart, you will naturally feel more self- worth and self-confidence. This will change your world! To feel and experience love is the most important thing in our life. This is how we become happy. Without love and happiness we are imprisoned in our problems, in our selfishness and in our suffering. We find the sense in life when we feel love for ourselves and give love to our fellow beings. When we are able to let our love flow freely, then we will receive love from our environment and, in this way, experience happiness. In this teaching, Tulku Lobsang shares methods for connecting with love and removing obstacles to our love so that it can flow freely. We also learn how to create more space for happiness in our daily life. Too often we simply do not make the decision to be happy and so do not make time for it. Then, we cannot see that happiness is already there. Learn to cultivate your happiness so that no matter what else changes in life, your happiness is abundant. Because happiness is there; we just need to open the door and welcome it.

With a special combination of physical movements, breath exercises and visualization we awaken our inner fire, which burns the blockages of karmic imprints.

Tummo is our wisdom fire. It is something we naturally have within our bodies. This fire, this inner warmth, can be found in the area below the navel chakra. On a physical level it is responsible for the temperature of our body—the heat of digestion and metabolism, the heat that powers chemical reactions and builds hormones. But Tummo is much more than this! On an energetic level, the Tummo fire blazes through the channels, melting away the subtlest blockages and surging energy throughout the body. On the level of mind, Tummo is the source of love, joy, happiness and bliss.

Unfortunately, as we become older we start to lose this natural warmth. Then, our hormones and essences automatically reduce. But it doesn’t have to be this way! The Tummo practice will reignite our inner fire. Through a combination of movements, breath techniques and visualizations we generate the Tummo flame and spread it throughout the body. The flame grows, starting from below the navel and rising higher and higher. It softly penetrates each of the main chakras, spreading to all the branches and every pore of our body.

The chakras are secret doors to our being. Opening them and connecting with our Tummo fire brings us great realizations. In this way, we tap into our inner wisdom. From this great presence we can realize the true nature of our mind, fundamental wisdom, and unconditional love and compassion.

Death is one of the most important happenings in our life. We will all face death, no matter who we are. We know this and yet somehow we forget. Perhaps it is because of our fear of the unknown that we often pretend that death does not exist. But, according to the Buddhist teachings, death is an opportunity. It is the moment when we can be in our true nature—the clear light state of mind.

Death is not only something that happens on the outside (people see us as dead), but it is also something that happens on the inside. It is an experience of the body and mind. Buddhism explains this experience exactly. The elements that compose our body and mind dissolve into each other one by one. Each dissolution produces a particular mental state. This may seem very foreign, but in fact we experience this every 24 hours. This is called the “little death” and it happens when we fall asleep. The way that we fall asleep is exactly the way that we will die. We can use the little death to train ourselves and learn to navigate this experience. This is how we prepare for a fearless death.

If we can learn how to recognize and abide in the clear light state of mind that happens at death, it will have a profound impact on our next life. In the state between life and death, called Bardo, all kinds of things can appear and provoke our emotions. This is exactly like a dream. It is not real, but it feels real and it creates real reactions in us. We must learn to recognize this dream and maintain a calm, clear mind, for this is when it matters most.
