Tibetan Buddhism understands that emotional balance is essential not only for our well-being, but also for living with clarity and resilience. We live in a world of limitations. Our body and mind are limited, and our time and energy are not infinite. To live wisely and meaningful in such a world, we must learn the power of saying “No”.

Saying “No” is maybe not knowledge, but it is wisdom. It may not be medicine, but it brings healing to the body. It is not simply a rule, but a deep understanding of how to protect our physical and mental well-being. Without the wisdom to say “No,” even our love can cause suffering. Without boundaries, our compassion can become the source of imbalance, exhaustion, and pain.

In this lecture, Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche will help us to understand how saying “No” can be a powerful and compassionate act. It helps us to stay in balance, to care for ourselves, and to serve others from a place of clarity and strength. When we say “No” from awareness, it becomes an expression of inner wisdom and true healing.

Tummo is our wisdom fire. It is something we naturally have within our bodies. Through a combination of movements, breathing techniques and visualizations we generate the Tummo flame and spread it throughout the body. On a physical level, the Tummo fire increases our self-healing powers. On an energetic level, it surges energy throughout our body. On the level of mind, Tummo is the source of love, joy, happiness and bliss.

Unfortunately, we begin to lose this warmth as we grow older. Then our hormones and essences automatically decrease as well. But this does not have to be! The Tummo practice reignites our inner fire. Through practice, the Tummo flame grows, starting below the navel, and rises higher and higher. This inner warmth gently penetrates all the chakras and the entire body. In this way, we can recognize the true nature of our mind and realize all-encompassing wisdom, as well as unconditional love and compassion.

Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche has a very strong connection to Tummo. Tummo is his specialty, and he can teach this practice like no other. He openly shares this secret practice because he is convinced that it can be of great benefit in these challenging times. A wonderful opportunity for us!

When we decide, we create space for change to occur. Change always happens anyway, but when we decide, we give it the direction we want. Usually, when we want to do something, we spend a lot of time thinking about it. This puts pressure on us and keeps us in a confused state. Therefore, we must learn how to make decisions. As soon as we decide, the pressure falls away and we save time. Decision has the power to help us separate the important things from the unimportant things. It generates energy and brings our daily routine on track.

Decision helps us to be in the here and now. When we decide, we have less thought about the past and we don’t lose ourselves in thoughts about the future. We must be in the present moment if we want to decide. And in order to be in the present moment, we need to be aware. We must shift our focus from the wish to do something to the awareness of the act of doing it. For this, we need to learn how to train our awareness. One way to do this is to stay in silence. From the place of silence, decisions become clear.

In this lecture, we learn from Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche how important it is to recognize our true nature in order to live in harmony with our goals, and what power lies in the decision.

Love is the essence of all energy. It is the only thing that truly motivates us in life. When there is no love, everything can make us tired and exhausted. This is because love is the only source of energy we have.

Fortunately, love is also the most natural thing we have. It is the most natural feeling because it is our deepest part, our very essence. Therefore, when we receive energy through love, that energy will never diminish. This is the healthiest energy, and no matter how much we use it, we will never become exhausted. It only recharges us. This is something very special about love!

In this seminar, Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche shows us how we can learn to develop and feel deep, unconditional love within ourselves. Love is within us—it does not have to come from outside. When we reach our deepest nature, we automatically gain the power of love. For we are love. When we learn to connect with it, we discover our most effortless energy.

Thankfulness is an incredibly powerful force. When we are consciously thankful, our life becomes easier, more relaxed, happier, and filled with love. If we complain about everything that happens to us, we become negative-thinking, frustrated and embittered people.

Practicing compassion is the highest method for awakening our mind. Compassion means completely opening our minds and hearts to others. The insights found in The Eight Verses of Thought Transformation are powerful keys for our opening and awakening.

All beings give us the opportunity to practice compassion, and therefore they are the greatest treasure on our path. We must deeply say “thank you” to all beings for the opportunity to practice compassion, open our hearts, and awaken to our true nature.

In this retreat, Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche will explore the practice of compassion using The Eight Verses of Thought Transformation by Geshe Langri Tangpa. This text contains massive insights into practical ways we can expand our compassion, open our hearts, and awaken our minds. The verses guide us to train our minds to shift from self-grasping toward love and connection. Then we find that we no longer need to defend this concept of self. Instead, we perceive the others as the greatest gift on the path to our enlightenment.
