Gang Gyok, the Running Technique
This Tibetan technique for fast feet can be used while running or walking. Its benefits include generating energy, practicing mindfulness, greater speed, better performance, more power and a healthier lifestyle, all of which contribute to a longer life. The preliminary exercises of Gang Gyok can be divided into three parts. The first part addresses food and diet, the second part addresses the inner wind (breath) and the third part addresses the body. Body positions, visualizations and breathing exercises are also included in the full practice. It is the special combination of these aspects that is so powerful in this technique. We also learn to use the mind, specifically the mental power of visualization, to increase the body’s energy. Practicing Gang Gyok improves your stamina, endurance, power and the overall health of both body and mind.
Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche introduce us to Gang Gyok, a powerful method for running and walking with endless energy and vitality. It can improve health and happiness and reduces disease and depression.
