During this exceptional Retreat Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche will allow us to combine the experiences of our inner fire with the practice of Bliss to help us connect with our “clear light” mind, or blissful mind. Through experiencing a blissful mind, we can more readily discover the true nature of our mind: fundamental wisdom, unconditional love and compassion.
For participants of the Complete Tummo Inner Fire Retreat which took place in December 2019, this Retreat is a precious opportunity to take their practice to the next level. However, this Retreat is also open to participants who are yet unfamiliar with the Tummo Practice. Rinpoche will guide us through every step of the practices.
So, in a first step we practice Tummo in order to open up our chakras, which are like secret doors to our being, and connect with our inner fire.
In a second step, to continue to support and intensify our intention of realizing the true nature of our mind and to also take our personal practice even further, Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche teaches us how to create bliss.
Tummo is our wisdom fire. It is something we naturally have within our bodies. This fire, this inner warmth, can be found in the area below the navel chakra. On a physical level it is responsible for the temperature of our body—the heat of digestion and metabolism, the heat that powers chemical reactions and builds hormones. On an energetic level, the Tummo fire blazes through the channels, melting away the subtlest blockages and surging energy throughout the body. On the level of mind, Tummo is the source of love, joy, happiness and bliss.
Tulku Lobsang has a very special connection to Tummo. This is his specialty and Rinpoche can teach it like no other. With a unique combination of physical movements, breath exercises and visualization we awaken our inner fire, which burns the blockages of karmic imprints.
The method that builds upon the “Tummo - Inner Fire Practice”, is the practice of “Bliss - Meditation on Substantial Love”. Practicing Bliss allows us to use our body to attain the "clear light" mind.
Bliss Meditation is a method to practice love of the body through specific bodily movements, visualization and breathing techniques. This physical bliss dissolves all conceptual thought. Only the perceptual mind remains. This means, we have reached a mind full of bliss, or the “clear light” mind - the highest goal in Tantrayana. The more bliss we feel, the less we distinguish between 'I' and ‘you’. The practice of Bliss is the best technique to overcome all negative emotions.
